REVIEW: Maybelline Baby Lips

The long awaited Baby Lips by Maybelline are finally out in the UK. The reason why I have been waiting for these lovelies is cause I am more of a lipgloss/lipbalm kinda girl rather than lipsticks. So when I saw these being used by youtubers in the US I knew this is something I would love. They come in 6 flavours. Iv bought just two at the moment. They got them in Cherry Me, Pink Punch, Grape Vine, Quenched, Peppermint & Peach Kiss. The two that I picked up are Cherry Me & Peach Kiss. I found them at superdrug. The weird bit was I went to the Maybelline section and dint find it and was walking away thinking there were only being sold online till I walked past the Nails sections and found them all placed with the nails accessories, how weird was that. While waiting for these to come to the UK I just knew they would cost a fortune BUT to my surprise they cost only £2.99 each. Very pretty Packaging, just so colourful and so girly. Real gorgeous colours.

Cherry Me

Cherry Me is a cherry/red tint coloured. More Cherry thou than red. I feel its perfect if you (which is me) want to try a red lip but is afraid to go so bold since uv never done it before. Cherry gives you this lovely red tint to the lips without making you feel your looking too bold. It just such a pretty colour. Smells gorgeous, and just by the name you would guess right that it smells just like cherries. Comes in a pretty orange packaging. Keeps my lips nice and moisturised. Doesn't leave any sticky feeling like some lip balms do. Since iv always had the habit of applying my Nivea care lip balm as a base and then add my lipstick or lip colour, with Cherry Me I wouldn't need to do that as I am getting both the benefits from just one. I can see Cherry Me being my favourite lip product for a while now.

Peach Kiss
Peach Kiss is a peachy colour with a brown under tone. I am not very impressed with the colour I get from Peach Kiss, cause it gives me something similar to my Nivea Care & my Maybelline Pink Brown. Does give more of a shine. Lips feel soft & non-sticky. Has a lovely peachy bubble gum smell to it. Comes in a Purple & Peach packaging. This is would used in days when I just want a bit of colour to the lips and nothing heavy. Wouldn't say I don't like it & wouldn't say its my favourite either.

OverAll
Cherry Me is definitely my favourite out of the two. Will certainly be wearing Cherry Me quite often. Love the smell of both the lip balms. I would re-buy them & buying the other flavours. The packaging is really pretty. Lovely price.

If you'v used them id love to know what you think of them and which one is your favourite out of the six.

REVIEW: NIP + FAB Dry Leg Fix

NIP + FAB is a brand I had never come across till I got it as a freebie with my cosmo magazine the last month of July. The reason why I have taken so long to review this is cause I wasn't sure if I liked it or not, so was wanting to use it for a while before I do this review. IV got the Dry Leg Fix. My over all body skin type isn't dry, however the heels of my feet can get really dry at times. Since this was for dry legs iv tested them on the heels of my feet which are the driest on my legs. They do leave my feet feeling soft. It absorbs into the skin really well, not leaving behind a greasy feel. To see if it really works I would apply this at night on my feet and see what it was like in the morning. It did make a difference where in my feet still felt soft in the morning. Dint have that dry look to my feet. Even trying it on my legs does the same. Wake up feeling my legs are moisturised. Am not all for it but I wont say its bad either. It an in-between dry leg fix. I completely dislike the smell. This is the reason why I use it mainly at nights. It just got a very ointment smell. The smell lasts long aswell. If it wasn't for the smell I think id like it a little more. I wouldn't see myself spending on buying this product. I know there are better ones out there. This is a short review cause I am not totally impressed with this so don't really have much to say besides the basic. Hope you found this helpful.

Primark £1 Nails

Hey fabulous you.. I am so happy I am being able to finally keep on track with my blog. I have been very laid back with my blog as iv been so busy between home, baby & trying to blog. Since I look after my little girl on my own as my husband is at work long hours I don't really get much time for myself, so now that I have I am trying to post as much as I can and get it scheduled for you. Just thought id keep you posted on why I haven't been so up to date with my blog.

Since my teenage days iv always loved long nails, unfortunately I am that kind of girl who finds it extremely difficult to grow them & keep them long for a number of days. I always make an excuse and end up cutting them off even thou I just love long nails. One day I decided to try out false nails as a way of getting use to having long nails. To my bad luck being the girl that I am I started pulling them off my nails in the 1st half and hour that I had them on. Literally pulled them of my nails (luckily my actual nails stayed put with the way I wrenched out the falsie) Complete Fail.

Moving around in Primark I came across there £1 false nails that they had, & I just knew I had to buy them & give them a try. Just to be on the safe side I bought just two & simple designs. One being a regular French Manicure set & the other being a Tuxedo Manicure set.

BEST FALSE NAILS EVER. Yes you heard me right. These are the best I have ever tried. I was so nervous on how they would make my nails feel, I thought I wouldn't be able to pick anything up with the nails coming in the way. Thought they would make it difficult to text using my mobile or type using the laptop. To my surprise had no issues with these beauties on at all. So easy to apply. Doesn't feel uncomfortable with them on at all. Can go about with your day-to-day chores without any hassle. If me being so fussy about nails love it this much then trust me you will love them as much as I do. They have a huge variety of nails. Will be buying more in future so will post pictures of them. To top it off, me being a stay at home mum, having to do the dishes & other house chores these beauties last a good 3-4 days unless your really rough with them.

Let mw know if you've ever tried these & what you think about them.

How I Apply Lipstick

I wasn't a fan of applying lipstick initially till I bought my first one to give it a go. Since then its a makeup product I cant do without. When I did start applying lipstick I always ended up re-applying it since it wouldn't last long enough on my lips. Dint bother me at 1st but then I thought 'hold on, why am I having to re-apply this all the time' so I went online to look around for tips & tricks to see how I could minimise this. Came across many tricks & tips but one stood out & did the best for me. So this is what I do to make my lipstick last longer.

Lip Scrub: I use a DIY (Vaseline & sugar mix) lip scrub to remove all the dead skin from my lips. I apply it onto my lips like a regular lip balm and in small circular motions & give my lips a scrub. You could also use a toothbrush to scrub your lips gently. Lip scrubs not only remove dead skin of your lips but also help in making your lips look fuller.

Lip Balm: This is a step I do without fail, no matter what. I use Nivea care. Use a generous amount of it on my lips to keep it moisturised.

Base Coat: Next I apply a bit of concealer to my lips. Using my rimmel stay matte concealer. I apply a bit on my lips and dab it all over my lips to give a nice base coat. Even works as a lip primer helping your lipstick to stick on.

Lipstick: Apply my lipstick. Making sure I apply the lipstick from the centre of my lips going outward.

Blotting: Taking a piece of tissue, I place it in-between my lips and press my lips into the tissue.

Re-apply: Next step i just re-apply the lipstick.

Seal it in: Lastly i take another bit of tissue press it very gently to my lips & using a powder brush i take translucent loose powder and dab it on to seal the lipstick it.

DONE these are the few steps i follow to keep my lipstick on longer than before. Do you have any tips & tricks? Let me know, would love to read them.

MUA £1 Nail Polish

Hello Fabulous you, how are you doing? Recently I was superdrug & couldn't resist myself from buying more MUA nail polish. I just love how pretty the bottles are. The colour range they have. I picked up three pastels. Bold Blue, Natural Days & Lush Lilac. Perfect summer colours. I can see myself wearing most or one of these colours most of summer this year.

Natural Days a baby pink. Have to use a double coat to get the colour right, unless u use a heavy 1t coat.

Bold Blue I would say this colour is a shade lighter than it actually is showing on camera. Its a very pretty blue. Its my favourite out of the three.

Lush Lilac, to be honest am not a fan of this colour. I did expect more of it. Not very happy with the colour pay off. Its pretty all right but not a pretty a I would expect it to be.

Hope you liked this really short MUA nail polish haul/impression.

REVIEW: Maybelline FitMe Concealer

Have you ever bought a product you just dint like, tried many a times to like it but dint get what u expected from it, and days/months gone by when the 1st product you pick up is this 'one' and bam it works like magic. YES this is exactly what happened with me & Maybelline FitMe concealer. Initially it just wasn't meant for me & now I cant live with out it. What I have understood of it is its not meant for dry skin. The reason why I say so is cause I had few dry patches on the apples of my cheeks and this concealer would just sit & look all patchy on those areas. It would even sit in the fine lines under & eyes making it look so much bigger.

Few weeks ago when I was applying concealer my hands reached out to the Maybelline Fitme and I was about to put it back knowing it wasn't meant for me, but I said let me give it a go. This time I tried it using a brush, an eye shadow brush (from superdrug. It was like Dynamo worked out one of his tricks. The blend was perfect, it dint sit in the fine lines under my eyes, it wasn't cakey at all, there wasn't any dry patches, dint feel like I had anything on. Now being summer & the high temperatures we having here in the UK my oily skin is at its highest, which means no dry patches, so this does really well. All I do is apply two dots of it under my eye, blend it out using the eye shadow brush and its give me the perfect layer of coverage, brightness and feel to my skin. After blending it with the brush I use the tip of my ring finger to tap it down a bit for that extra blend, apply my face powder and m good to go. I am so glad I gave it another try. It long lasting as well. I can go all day without having to touch it up even with this high temperatures we having. So yes now I can see why the big hype about this product. It is definitely going to be my summer must have.

Let me know if you've tried this concealer & your thoughts about it. If you've done a review on it even better just send me your links. Hope u found this helpful. Thank you for reading this.
